New Album and DVD!

Howdy Friends,

We hope that this update finds everyone one of you doing swimmingly in this New Year. We started out 2012 in a fashion that we wish upon all of you, drunk with a splash of disorderly. And as January comes to a close, we are quickly approaching our first studio day for our debut full length, “Death Letter Jubilee”. We hit the studio tomorrow, which is a strange mixture of terrifying and straight up AWESOME. A few things have shifted, shaped, and shaved in this, our quest to full-length completion.

Musicians are traditionally slow, and the US government is traditionally unreliable. Well, we wanted to see what would happen when we combined the two… Our friend, comrade, and studio engineer for the record, Eddie, is currently stuck in England. At the moment, he is going 10 rounds of the ol’dodge and weave with Uncle Sam (specifically the U.S. State Department) due to an issue with his visa. Please wish him a speedy return to these U-nited States. Because of this ongoing battle of wits (with a dash of government incompetence), we have had to move the expected release date of April 2012 back to September 2012. Our producer J. Hall is now overseeing the studio engineering. He’ll be the captain from start to finish, which we very much look forward to.

This shuffling is not all bad though, as the extra time has allowed us to write a new batch of songs which are in the running for being on the record. We will also be hiring a publicity team to help us get the word out about Death Letter Jubilee on an international scale and do this release right.

In lieu of the record that should have been released, we’d like to offer something to tide you all over until September. Folks who pledged to our kickstarter will be receiving a download of the first single for FREE. On top of that (drumroll please)… we’re pleased to announce that we will be pressing an extremely limited, hand numbered live DVD from our performance on Rockpalast in Bonn, Germany. We will only print 500 of these and once they’re gone, they’re gone. Kickstarter pledgers can get it at a reduced price of $10. It will retail at $15. This footage includes a sneak peak at some of the new tunes that will appear on “Death Letter Jubilee” plus some of our personal old favorites.

Kickstarter Pledgers: Check our Kickstarter update page for details on how to reserve your copy. We’ve never been this excited as a band, and are incredibly thankful for your support on this record. We are proud of these songs, and cannot wait for you to hear them.

The first round of Spring 2012 tour dates is up, as well as our first batch of European tour dates for the Summer. They can be viewed at thedeltasaints.com or facebook.com/thedeltasaints. Come check out a show, and hear the new songs live and swill some beer with us. Thank you again for your support and patience with this project. There is no way that we could have done this without you.
